If your pet is overweight, the Ideal Weight Calculator within Hungry Pet can help determine the optimal weight they should aim for. This calculation involves the pet's current weight and their Body Condition Score (BCS), an indicator of their physical condition. The app provides detailed instructions on assessing BCS and offers links to external resources for further assistance.
Utilizing the same formulae commonly employed by veterinarians, Hungry Pet offers features such as computing daily caloric needs via the Resting Energy Requirements (RER) formula and determining ideal weight based on BCS and current weight. Additionally, it boasts a comprehensive database of dog and cat foods containing over 1000 entries, along with relevant resources like links to websites focusing on pet weight management and curated snack options for pets.
